More than 350 riders and 1,000 visitors joined us at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven for the Dutch Student Cycling Championships (NSK) and the non-student Campus Crit.
The NSK is the student cycling event of the year with a scale that’s unlike any other student cycling event. It’s been held since 1971 and the top class winners are named the official KNWU student champion meaning you win the official red-white&blue jersey!
The event was a huge success with an amazing location and atmosphere. We were praised by participants, the KNWU jury, sponsors and many more. Additionally the races were amazing with a parcours that seemed to invite attackers. Many people wondered how this location is not used more often.
As a committee we are really proud which we will expand on further all the way at the bottom of this post :)

👋 Closing words
What started as an idea during a visit to the High Tech Campus for a job interview by our chairman grew, over the course of a year and a half, into the event you saw today. In the end, we created an event that we, as a nine-person committee, are incredibly proud of and, above all, learned an enormous amount from!
The overwhelming feeling among those who attended was joy, but afterwards there was also disappointment: disappointment that the event was a one-off. For us as organisers, that is perhaps the greatest compliment we could receive! We hope the event has helped bring new energy to the NSK, student cycling and local cycling, and that we have set a new standard. In particular, we hope to have inspired other organisers when it comes to media, safety, course design and atmosphere.
And if nothing else, at least we all had an amazing day that we’ll be talking about for years to come. Once again, thank you and goodbye!
